TOP 5 THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A NEW PUPPY!

1. Consider your family.

Do you have children? If so what are their ages? Age matters when choosing the
right breed for you.

2. Consider grooming & maintenance requirements of the breed.

Long haired and double coated breeds, (Shih Tzu or the Pomeranian) require more upkeep, brushing,
professional grooming, etc, than short haired or wire haired breeds, (chihuahuas & west highland terriers).

3. Consider compatibility.

How active are you? Some breeds have a much higher energy level than others
and require more activity to keep them happy.

4. Consider size. SIZE MATTERS!

Do you live in an apartment, do you have several acres of land, or do you live in a
neighborhood with a fenced in yard? These are things to consider when choosing the
correct breed for you and your family.

5. Consider gender.

This seems to be an important factor to some people when choosing a puppy.
Lots of people seem to think females are easier to housebreak than males. Also
some people tend to believe that females in general are less trouble and more loving.
In my experience this has never been the case. Males and females alike, if raised properly,
are both loving and devoted to their owners. Done properly, I have never found males
harder to housebreak than females.

The most important thing when choosing a the right breed is research! Take the time to consider these
suggestions and choose a puppy that will be your family's
BEST friend for life!
